Welcome to Wings Of Hope Parrot Rescue, a dedicated parrot rescue committed to providing safe, compassionate care for parrots in need.

We understand that parrots are intelligent, social and long-lived companions, and that sometimes circumstances change. Our aim is to provide a safe place for parrots who have been surrendered, rescued, neglected, or are simply in need of a fresh start.

Our Story

Our journey began with a simple belief: every parrot deserves to be safe, loved, understood and given a second chance.

Over the years, we have seen how many parrots find themselves needing help through no fault of their own. Changes in family circumstances, health, behaviour, finances or living situations can mean that an owner is no longer able to provide the care their parrot needs.

For us, every parrot has a story.

Some arrive frightened or lacking confidence. Others may have experienced neglect, poor socialisation or difficult circumstances. Some require ongoing medical care, rehabilitation or specialist support. Whatever their background, we believe they all deserve patience, compassion and the opportunity to start again.

Our work is about much more than providing a safe place for parrots.

We take the time to understand each bird as an individual — their personality, history, behaviour, health and unique needs. We provide care, enrichment, rehabilitation and support to help them regain confidence and learn to trust again.

Where appropriate, we work towards finding suitable forever homes where adopters understand the lifelong commitment involved in caring for a parrot.

Some parrots need more than a temporary safe haven. They may require medication, specialist diets, ongoing monitoring, rehabilitation or veterinary support.

We work alongside veterinary professionals where necessary and provide care according to individual veterinary recommendations and treatment plans.

We understand that surrendering a much-loved parrot can be an incredibly difficult decision.

Our aim is never to judge an owner. Sometimes asking for help is the most responsible and loving decision someone can make for their bird.

We provide a safe and compassionate surrender option and help parrots transition into the next chapter of their lives.

Whether they stay with us for a short time or need long-term support, we are committed to giving them kindness, patience, appropriate care and respect.

We believe in second chances, responsible rehoming and putting the welfare of the parrot first.
